Gora is the sword swallower from the Drapeaux de France's own circus collection. Multi-millennial, the practice of sword swallowers had, at its origins in India, a religious function. At the end of the 19th century, they joined itinerant circuses and developed the practice by multiplying the difficulties (longer or curved blades, multiple sabers, ...). Very dangerous, this art requires a heavy work on muscular control from the practitioner.
